Ohbijou - Beacons (2009)

Something sinister
something good

~Eloise And The Bones

Jinxed says: What would be about Ohbijou without Casey Macija gifted voice? What would be about our lifes without Ohbijou?

Back on 2004, Casey Mecija started a solo project which gave birth to Ohbijou, which includes in formation her sister Jennifer and more 5 members. Ohbijou draws into the indie scene with pop and folk influences. Their debut album came into 2006; "Swift Feet for Troubling Times" presents the delicate and warm voice of Casey and the ethereal sound of Ohbijou.

Now, almost 3 years before, we got "Beacons" enlighting and clearing their way into our lives. If "Swift Feet for Troubling Times" was autumn, "Beacons" might be their spring; As spring "Beacons" is brighter and protective making Ohbijou bigger and more versatile. This album intercalate tenderness into orchestral arrangements with a sweet vocal into delicate lyrics to qarm cold lonely nights.

"The moon falls in lines of silver
Reflected light on the still water
Bring me life in a million colours
Bring me love like no other"
